Advisory: Broadway Rehabilitation Construction Begins – Motorists Should Expect Increased Traffic Congestion

SANTA ANA, CA ( January 22, 2014) – Christensen Brothers General Engineering, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $4,312,894.65 for the rehabilitation of Broadway from Civic Center Drive to Main Place Drive and the replacement of the water main on Broadway and Washington Avenue. Phase 2 of this project has begun and because of the extensive improvements, traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction. It is expected that this project will be completed by summer 2014 barring unforeseen conditions that will cause delays.

Broadway schedule

Motorists are advised to find alternate routes as traffic congestion will be higher than normal given the lane restrictions. An updated project timeline has been included to remind those affected. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to call Carlos Castellanos at (714) 647-5642.
