Early this morning, a security officer patrolling an apartment community near University and Michelson reported two men checking car door handles and possibly trying to burglarize vehicles, according to the Irvine Police Department.

A rapid response from patrol officers in the area led to the arrest of the two men who had burglary tools and narcotics.

One of the suspects also had a warrant for his arrest. What a surprise!

The Irvine Police Department thanks the alert witness for calling them with a tip about the suspects.
