A man was walking on the westbound side of First Street at Flower Street, just before 1:30 a.m., on Monday, June 15, when he was struck by several vehicles, according to the SAPD.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local a hospital, according to the O.C. Register.

The drivers of the vehicles that struck the victim apparently did not stop to render aid or to call the police.

The incident happened right by Flower Street Park, south of Angels Community Park, about a half mile away from the SAPD headquarters.

The SAPD shut down the westbound side of First Street between Flower and Main streets for the crash investigation. They were also planning on checking surveillance video to try to identify the vehicles that struck the man.

The name of the victim was not released to the media.
