We reported last night about a drive by shooting that wounded a man in his 20s at the 1000 block of North Parton. Our readers indicated that there was a second man injured as well. Today we know the details about that second victim.

It turns out the second man was shot by an SAPD police officer, according to the O.C. Register. The police have not indicated yet if the second shooting was related to the first one.

Both of the wounded men were taken to a local trauma center but their condition has not been released.

These shootings occurred just south of Willard Intermediate School, in Santa Ana’s Ward 5, which is represented by Councilman Roman Reyna, who is up for reelection in November.

If you know anything about these shootings please contact Santa Ana Police Department’s crimes against persons unit at 714-245-8390.
