SANTA ANA, Calif. – Over 50 new homeownership opportunities are coming to Santa Ana at the 717 Lyon townhome development that was issued building permits this month.

The City of Santa Ana Planning and Building Agency issued permits on May 8, 2024, for nationally recognized Toll Brothers to begin construction on this new residential townhome community.

The project is located at 571 S. Lyon St. and will feature 51 three-story townhouse units for sale, including 43 units developed at market rate and eight units designated as affordable housing for low-income households.

The City received nearly $80,000 in building plan check fees for this project, highlighting the significance of this development for the local economy. 717 Lyon has an estimated completion date of April 2026. Toll Brothers, known for their high-quality residential and mixed-use communities across 24 states, recently completed the successful Rafferty project in Downtown Santa Ana.

717 Lyon demonstrates the City of Santa Ana’s commitment to attract investments in new development and to create much-needed new housing. In 2023, the City saw a record $772 million in building permit valuations and has already achieved over 74% of its new housing goals required by the State of California for 2021 to 2029.
