Two Riverside County suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of Kenneth Swets in Anaheim

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, around 8:42 p.m., police officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 2065 block of S. Margie Lane. Anaheim Police officers and Orange County Fire Authority personnel arrived and located a 25-year-old Anaheim man, Kenneth Wayne Swets, unresponsive inside a vehicle. Mr. Swets suffered from several gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Anaheim Police Dept.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and started their investigation. After several days of diligent work, two adults were identified as suspects. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, both suspects were arrested and taken into custody for the murder of Mr. Swets.

The suspects have been identified as Rashaadd Eugene Royal, a 41-year-old Corona resident, and Jennifer Camacho Mandap, a 51-year-old Moreno Valley resident. There are no outstanding suspects. The investigation showed Mr. Royal was acquainted with the victim, Mr. Swets.

Detectives are not disclosing any additional details at this time because the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about Mr. Swets or the circumstances surrounding his death to contact Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
