Special Crimes Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Nicolas Mercado who is wanted for domestic violence and sexual assault, according to the SAPD.

On May 16, 2024, Nicolas physically assaulted his ex-girlfriend, causing multiple visible injuries. During the physical altercation, he also strangled before fleeing their residence and evading police contact.

Nicolas is wanted for a separate case regarding a sexual assault with a different victim.
