Early Monday morning, Irvine Police Department Dispatch received reports of multiple men looking into vehicles in the Quail Hill area. Officers arrived and quickly detained two suspects near a motorcycle.

Another man fled from officers on a second motorcycle and crashed near Sand Canyon Ave. and Quail Hill Parkway. After the collision, he ran into the Quail Hill Shopping Center.

Officers set up a perimeter and found the man hiding in a dumpster. Both motorcycles were stolen, and the three men were arrested. Two of them were booked at Orange County Jail.

The man who fled was admitted to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the collision. The trio was charged with multiple crimes, including possession of stolen property, auto theft, possession of burglary tools, and receiving stolen property.
