On Wednesday, a police officer responded to a burglary call where a suspect stole a stroller from a garage in Quail Hill, according to the Irvine Police Department.

When a neighbor confronted the thief, he returned the baby buggy. The great neighbor captured video of the thief, which helped the officer recognize him as a man suspected of multiple package thefts.

Later in the evening, another officer located the suspect in the area. The 46-year-old man from Midway City was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail (OCJ) for burglary, possessing narcotics, and an outstanding warrant.

The OC Jail was probably not the crib the suspect hoped to spend the night in!

Irvine police detectives will continue to investigate the package thefts.

The Irvine Police Department reminds us to please secure our garage doors. Never leave an open garage unattended!
