The Fountain Valley Police Department posted statistics from last weekend’s DUI / License Checkpoint on Facebook. A total of 1,119 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 1,091 drivers were contacted.

Nine of those drivers were evaluated for DUI and two of them were then arrested for DUI on a cite and release basis. Five drivers were cited for being unlicensed and two vehicles were towed at the end of the checkpoint.

The Cypress Police provided assistance with traffic enforcement at the FVPD DUI Checkpoint.

As always, the FVPD goal is to spread awareness of the dangers of impaired driving.
