The CHP is looking for witnesses who saw a vehicle accident on the 22 Fwy. on July 30

On Sunday, 7/30/2023, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a crash occurred involving a white Chrysler 200 and a gray Toyota Tundra in the area of the SR-22 eastbound, east of La Veta Avenue.

One person was killed in the crash, which occurred on a road linking the eastbound 22 Freeway to the northbound 5 Freeway, according to the CHP.

The O.C. coroner’s office was called to the location at 10:36 a.m.

A Sigalert was issued at 11:24 a.m. closing the transition road for an unknown duration.

There was no other immediate information.
