The Anaheim Police Department posted on Facebook this morning that they are aware of social media posts indicating a school shooting will occur today.

The police department also stated that “We appreciate our community coming forward and providing this information. The Anaheim Police Department is working with local school districts, schools, and other law enforcement agencies regarding the threats. At this time, the threat was deemed not to be credible.”

The Anaheim Police Department also promised an increased police presence at schools in Anaheim today and they will continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary updates.

The Westminster Police Dept. also posted about fake threats of a school shooting:

The Westminster Police Department is aware of a nonspecific threat to Orange County schools. At this time, no Westminster school is identified specifically as a target. The WPD is communicating with all school districts in our jurisdiction, and there will be an increased police presence at all school sites tomorrow morning. The WPD will continue to monitor the situation.

And the Tustin Police Dept. also posted about false threats of a school shooting:

We are aware of a non-specific threat to Orange County schools. At this time, no Tustin Unified School District school has been identified. We are in constant communication with all of our schools and out of an abundance of caution you will see an increased presence in and around our wonderful schools. This is always a good reminder, if you SEE something, SAY something.
