Suspect arrested on narcotics and theft charges after fleeing from Huntington Beach police officers

This Tuesday, while on proactive patrol, police officers spotted a guy who, after one look, decided he’d rather run than chat, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The suspect bolted from a parked motorcycle, leaving his friend behind.

After a quick talk, the police officers arrested the friend for drug paraphernalia. Oh, and the bike they were hanging around? It turns out it was reported stolen!

With a little help from people in the area, the police officers soon found the runner hiding nearby, carrying narcotics and fake IDs.

That suspect ended up with a few extra charges, including grand theft auto.

Moral of the story: You can run but you can’t hide. Please think twice before becoming the next guest at the HBPD jail.

Now that Prop. 36 has passed these criminals are going to have an even tougher time staying out of prison!
