Suspect Arrested for Residential Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property

SANTA ANA, Calif. – (March 21, 2014) – On Sunday, February 23, 2014 Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Natanael Garcia, 30, Orange, on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property. Garcia is suspected of forcing entry through a rear window and stealing property from a residence in the 10200 block of Crawford Canyon Road in the unincorporated Santa Ana area.

On Sunday, February 23, 2014 at approximately 1 p.m., deputies responded after a neighbor witnessed Garcia enter the rear property of the residence through a side gate. Responding deputies detained and arrested Garcia in the area after obtaining a physical description of Garcia from the neighbor. A subsequent search warrant was executed at Garcia’s residence resulting in the recovery of stolen property. During the course of the preliminary investigation and contact with the homeowner, investigators determined there was no property taken from the residence on Crawford Canyon Road.

Since Garcia’s arrest, investigators have continued to pursue leads and obtain evidence that may connect him to other burglaries. There have been no reported residential burglaries in the unincorporated Santa Ana / North Tustin area since Garcia’s arrest on February 23rd but the investigation is ongoing.

Garcia is currently being held in Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail and due back in court next month.
