On Friday, May 17, police officers were called to a local Target regarding an individual attempting to steal a cart of items, according to the Irvine Police Department.

As the suspect was leaving the store, he threatened loss prevention officers as they tried to stop him.

A few moments later, the police officers located the suspect walking nearby. Once he saw the officers, he started running.

There was a short foot pursuit, and the suspect was detained. During the officers’ investigation, they discovered the suspect had previously stolen from this Target store.

The suspect was booked into the Orange County Jail for burglary and resisting arrest.
