Ivan Ayalacuevas, a 39-year-old man, was charged on Friday with a stabbing attack in front of Kennedy Elementary School, located at 1300 E. McFadden Ave. in Santa Ana.

The stabbing happened at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday in front of the school, near Grand Avenue, according to the SAPD.

The stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Ayalacuevas is facing felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon on one victim and domestic battery with corporal injury on another victim that he previously dated. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of being a disruptive presence at a school.

The anti-police majority on the SAUSD School Board will now have to explain, again, to the residents why they don’t want school police at our public schools.
