Santa Ana artists, arts organizations and arts administrators should NOT miss this unprecedented arts event happening Saturday, August 27 from 1-5 pm at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
A collective of Santa Ana business, arts and education leaders have partnered with the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall to transform its four-story terraced hall lobby into multi-level registration center, arts thinktank, and resource mapping project.
All artists and organizations who participate will go into an innovative arts map and index that connects them with curators, buyers, sponsors and employers. Arts Roundtable II is produced by a collective of Santa Ana’s business, arts and education leaders, and is the result of a community dialogue that began earlier this year.
Artists, arts organizations and arts administrators of all genres and work roles are encouraged to attend. Attendance is free; parking is $10, though rates are known to change. Carpooling, biking and mass transit encouraged. Bring your artist/organization statement and a thumb drive with a few photos of your work/services. See below for FAQs.

What’s going to happen?
The Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts is transforming into a multi-floor Arts Roundtable experience with critical dialogues and actions on each level. You’ll enter the ground floor and move level by level to: 1) Add yourself and who you know to a comprehensive map of arts and culture in Santa Ana 2) Critique and improve a new arts index for Santa Ana 3) Add yourself to the index 4) Get a gorgeous professional photo taken.
Who should attend?
Everyone working in the Santa Ana arts and culture sector! All genres, mediums and work roles: Independent writers/visual artists/musicians/performance artists/etc., educators, administrators, gallery owners, event producers, promoters, creative entrepreneurs, historians, cultural groups, tech, arts supplies, support services, printing houses, etc.
Do I have to stay the whole time?
No. The whole process for any visitor is expected to take 90 minutes to 2 hours. Arrive anytime before 3pm to ensure you have enough time to complete the tasks. You can stay as long as you like.
Are there Santa Ana ID requirements or age limits?
No. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.
What should I bring?
Please be prepared to represent yourself professionally. We’ll be taking a professional photograph of you. Bring a thumb drive with a few photos of your work/organization, a short 1-2 paragraph statement (if you don’t have one, or you think it needs work, we will help you craft it), document of links to online videos or music samples, and your basic contact information.
Transportation and parking options?
The Segerstrom Center for the Arts has several parking structures on its campus. Onsite parking costs approximately $10 and is not validated. Check the parking rules and regulations posted as parking rates are known to change. Consider taking a bus, bike or ride-sharing. I signed up on Eventbrite, should I bring my Eventbrite ticket?
No! Save a tree. We will have your name on the check-in list when you arrive.
Is there any cost to participating in this event?
No! This event is free (except for the parking). The purpose of the event is to show artists they are wanted in Santa Ana by developing some tools to help you get more work in our arts and culture sector.
