Community: SAPD Reminds You to Have a “Safe and Sane” 4th of July / El Departamento de Policía Le Recuerda Que Tenga un 4 De Julio “Seguro y Sano”

As our Nation’s Independence Day approaches, the Santa Ana Police Department would like to remind everyone that only fireworks bearing the “Safe and Sane” seal are allowed for use within the city limits during the following days and hours:

  • July 1st – Noon to 10:00 pm
  • July 2nd & 3rd – 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
  • July 4th – 10:00 am to 9:00 pm

Illegal fireworks in santa ana

Every year the use of illegal fireworks contributes to serious injuries and fires in our community. As a measure to combat the use of illegal fireworks, the Santa Ana Police Department will aggressively patrol neighborhoods and issue fines. This year the fine will be $1,000 for the first offense and could carry a maximum penalty of up to one-year in jail. Members of the community can anonymously report illegal fireworks use at 714-245-8771.

Community members looking for a great fireworks display are encouraged to attend the city-sponsored “Holiday Celebration at Centennial Park,” 3000 W. Edinger Avenue, Santa Ana, California, from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm (fireworks start at 9:00 pm).

El Departamento de Policía de Santa Ana de Recuerda que Tenga un 4 de Julio “Seguro y Sano’

Al acercarse el día de la independencia de nuestro país, el departamento de policía de la ciudad de Santa Ana le recuerda que sólo los fuegos artificiales que llevan el sello “Seguro y Sano” (“Safe and Sane”) están autorizados para uso dentro de los límites de la ciudad y solo durante los siguientes días y horas:

1ro de julio – mediodía a 10:00 pm
2ro de julio y 3ª – 10:00 am a 10:00 pm
4to de julio – las 10:00 de am a 9:00 pm

Cada año el uso de fuegos artificiales ilegales contribuye a lesiones graves e incendios en nuestra comunidad. Como una medida para combatir el uso de fuegos artificiales ilegales, el departamento de policía de Santa Ana dará atención especial a patrullar los vecindarios y dar multas. Este año la multa será de $1,000 por la primera infracción y podría llevar una pena máxima de hasta un año de cárcel. Miembros de la comunidad pueden reportar el uso de fuegos artificiales ilegales de forma anónima llamando al 714-245-8771.

Si está en busca de un gran show de fuegos artificiales se le anima a asistir a la celebración patrocinada por la ciudad en el Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger Avenue, Santa Ana, California, de las 4:00 pm a las 9:30 pm (fuegos artificiales empiezan a las 9:00 pm).

  1. well don’t know for sure if some of the fireworks are illegal how ever they sound very strong here at Halliday and warner in Santa Ana not to mention I hear them late at night, true the year?
