Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Request public assistance in identifying cash checking robbery suspects-VIDEO AVAILABLE

Since July 2011, seven Orange County check cashing stores have been robbed just before the store opens for the day. Once employees arrive and enter the secured area, two to three suspects drop from a hole in the ceiling they previously cut. In some cases, a handgun was seen. The suspects are described as Black males in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.It is believed the suspects “Case” the locations of their crimes prior to the robberies. Be aware of people acting suspicious, or looking at security features of the business.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect(s) to call Detective Dan Aguilar (714)245-8443. Can also call OC Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line 855-TIP-OCCS (847-6227) or submit a tip online at Rewards up to $1000.00 for information leading to the arrests of suspect(s).
