Santa Ana (CA)— Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen announced today that he has formally filed for re-election in the 2022 California Primary Election.

“It has truly been an honor to serve the citizens of Orange County as their Clerk-Recorder,” said Nguyen. “I am proud of my public service and will continue to insure that the Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s office is one of the best in the country.

Under Nguyen’s management Orange County now enjoys the lowest real property recording fees in California. He was named by the Orange County Register as one of the county’s “100 Most Influential Leaders” in 2015 and again in 2020 for his efforts in making department services more accessible to working families. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nguyen instituted the “Hitched at Honda Center” so couples could safely get married.

The 2022 California Primary will be held on June 7th.
