A man was shot last night after 10 p.m. when  he was sweeping a business parking lot in the 1100 block of South Main Street. He was confronted by a suspect who attempted to steal the victim’s bike and during the altercation, the victim was shot twice to the upper torso.

Top top it all off, during the incident the suspect declared his gang affiliation! The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

The shooter fled southbound on Main Street before officers arrived and he was described as a tall, Hispanic with long, black hair, according to the O.C. Register.

The shooting happened right next to Lathrop Intermediate School, in Santa Ana’s Ward 2, which is represented by Council Member Michele Martinez.
