An unidentified man and woman were injured by multiple gunshots after an unknown suspect shot at them several times near First Street and Clara Street last night, according to the O.C. Register.
A witness called the SAPD at around 11 p.m. last night to report the shooting.
Both of the victims ended up at a local hospital and were expected to survive, but were in critical condition.
The police did not release any information about the motive of the attack or the suspect’s connection, if any, to the victims. The victims have not been interviewed yet due to their condition.

This incident happened in Santa Ana’s Ward 5, which is represented by Councilman Roman Reyna, who this week voted against using a city surplus to hire more police officers.
