The I-5 Central Corridor HOV Project is scheduled for nighttime construction activity, on Monday, May 18th, from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Friday, May 22, 2020.

Construction crews will be removing the remaining concrete bridge columns on I-5 between Main Street and Broadway and Main Street. For safety reasons, the construction activities can only be done at night and the HOV lanes in this vicinity will continue to be closed.

This demolition work will be very loud. The OCTA is offering complimentary earplugs at the OCTA Store at 600 S. Main Street, Orange. The store is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OCTA and Caltrans construction team are expediting this work as much as feasible while traffic demand is lower due to COVID-19 impacts. Should you have questions or issues with the construction please call (800) 724-0353 or e-mail central5fwy@octa.net.
