A criminal couple debuted on the Irvine Police Department’s June 7 Felony Friday after they stole a shopper’s purse at Marshall’s. On Monday, the duo struck again as they stole a victim’s wallet at the Spectrum Target. Since the victim was unsure if she left her wallet at home, there was a slight delay in reporting the theft.

Once it was reported, the police officers assigned to the Spectrum got to work and identified a suspect vehicle.

Excellent police work led the officers to locate the suspects traveling north on the I-5 Freeway. As is often the case the suspects were from L.A. County and only ventured into Orange County to commit a crime.

Christian Rios, 22, and Alexandra Torres, 36, of Inglewood, were arrested for multiple felonies and booked at Orange County Jail with bail enhancements.

Detectives determined that while the suspects were at the Spectrum, Rios used a stolen credit to purchase a gaming console. Both were also linked to a distraction theft at the Lake Forest Walmart earlier in the day. But wait, there is more….they also attempted to use the Target victim’s credit cards in South Orange County before the Irvine police officers arrested them.
