Over the weekend, the Irvine Police Department’s Investigations Bureau Detectives patrolled neighborhoods recently impacted by residential burglaries.

In Turtle Rock, they encountered an individual matching the description of a suspect from a recent attempted burglary.

It appeared the man was scouting the neighborhood to burglarize a home.

Yonatan Angel Laoeza, 33, of Fontana, was found to be in possession of controlled substances and burglary tools.

Laoeza was booked at Orange County Jail on multiple charges, including burglary.
