Yesterday in Santa Ana, crews rushed to the scene of a fire in a restaurant located in a strip mall, according to the OCFA.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, ensuring that a significant portion of the restaurant was saved and that the adjacent units sustained no damage whatsoever.

The fire investigators determined the cause of the fire to be a cooking fire that extended into the exhaust ducting.

The fire appears to have happened at 949 Grill and Pot Lounge, located at 2 Hutton Centre Dr., Unit 204, in Santa Ana. Their Yelp page says they plan to reopen by tomorrow.

Head to the OCFA website, OCFA.org, to learn how you can stay safe while cooking in the kitchen.
