Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Accident in the area of First and Bristol, victim momentarily trapped under vehicle

On 4-17-13 at approximately 12:30 pm a Ford Expedition, driven by a male Hispanic, approximately 50 years of age, was in involved in a minor accident in the area of First and Bristol, with a privately operated school bus. After the collision with the school bus, the Ford Expedition veered off the road, and into the “Big K’s Burger” restaurant, striking three patrons inside the restaurant.

One of the persons struck by the vehicle was momentarily trapped under the vehicle. He was subsequently treated at the scene by fire personnel and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The other victims were not seriously injured. There were no injuries reported on the school bus. The investigation is ongoing.
