Community Alert: City of Santa Ana Announces 2014 Major Community Events

SANTA ANA, CA (January 17, 2014) – A very exciting and creative series of major community events will be produced by the City of Santa Ana. This initiative is a direct reflection of the “Complete Communities” priority, which is being established in the City’s 5-year strategic plan.

By producing several large-scale community events, the City will ensure all are welcome and will celebrate the arts and culture. Thus, the City is proud to announce the 2014 schedule of events. These events will offer rich joyful experiences for Santa Ana residents and visitors of all ages.

• March 22 – Plaza Primavera (Spring Plaza) – Downtown’s Plaza Santa Ana
• April 26 – Da del Niño (Day of the Child) – Main Public Library, Civic Center Area
• May 2, 3, and 4 – Cinco de Mayo Festival and Carnival on 4th Street in the Downtown
• July 4 – Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular Show at Centennial Park
• September 6 – Plaza Bienestar (Wellness Plaza) – Downtown’s Plaza Santa Ana
• September 12, 13, and 14 – Fiestas Patrias Festival, Carnival, Parade, and Film Festival on 4th Street in the Downtown
• October 25 – Plaza Buena Cosecha (Plaza Good Harvest) – Downtown’s Plaza Santa Ana
• December 13 – Plaza Navideña (Plaza Christmas) – Downtown’s Plaza Santa Ana

Sponsorship for these events with creative branding options and exposure to service opportunities will be available directly from the City. Opportunities to showcase musical, dance, and art talents will also be available directly from the City. Over 500,000 attendees are expected to attend these events.
