Another suspect has been charged with crimes related to the George Floyd protests in Santa Ana over this past weekend.

Ernesto Isaiah Luquin, 23, was charged on Tuesday with two felony counts of assault with a weapon on a peace officer, according to NBC News.

On Saturday, Luquin allegedly threw a large rock and a beer bottle at a Santa Ana Unified School District Police officer near S. Bristol Street and McFadden Avenue that day, while shouting a derogatory statement toward law enforcement, according to the O.C. Register.

The SAUSD police officer then flagged down an SAPD police officer to report the incident. Luquin fled but he was eventually caught and arrested.

Luquin has been charged with two felony counts of assault with a weapon on a peace officer. He was scheduled to be arraigned today.
