This morning at 9:00 a.m., a suspect entered the Chase Bank located at 801 Pacific Coast Highway and claimed to have a “gun” while demanding money, according to the Seal Beach Police Department.
The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect was positively identified, and officers were actively searching for him.

The Seal Beach Police Department houses a 30 bed detention center. People arrested in Seal Beach are temporarily housed in the facility as they wait for a court appearance or a transfer to the Orange County Jail.
Presumably the suspect is at the Seal Beach detention center but will be heading to the Orange County Jail soon.
