OCFA firefighters responded to a vehicle into an apartment complex in the 1600 block of W. Memory Lane in the City of Santa Ana at 10:20 p.m. last night with reports of multiple victims and fire.

The firefighters arrived and determined that one adult was trapped inside the unit with smoke but no fire.

The firefighters extricated the person who was then quickly treated and transported by paramedics to a trauma center in serious condition. There are no further updates on the victim’s condition.

One additional adult victim was assessed and then transported to a local hospital by Falck Ambulance.

The SAPD provided assistance at the location.

The SAPD also reports that the vehicle’s driver fled the scene, along with a possible passenger, and a search is now underway.
