Fullerton Police Press Release

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 8:03 PM, police officers responded to the area of W. Malvern Ave and Wesley Dr. regarding a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Fullerton Police Officers arrived shortly thereafter and located an adult male rider with significant, life-threatening injuries lying in the number two lane of eastbound Malvern Ave. west of Welsey Dr. in close proximity to a black and gray Sym Scooter.

Officers immediately began conducting CPR on the male rider until Fullerton Fire arrived on-scene and took over life-saving measures. Fullerton Fire transported the male rider to a local trauma center where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the scooter rider was traveling westbound on W. Malvern Ave. passing Wesley Dr. when he collided into the drivers side of the Volkswagen Taos causing the rider to be ejected from the scooter. The driver of the Volkswagen Taos remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the cause of the collision.

The identity of the rider will be released by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
