Santa Ana – Firefighters received a call for a fire in a single-family home at 414 W. 16th St., near 17th and Ross streets in Santa Ana. at 8:00 this morning, according to the OCFA.
When crews arrived on scene they found a single-story residence on fire and two vehicles on fire, and a nearby residence starting to catch fire. To the rear of the structure a powerline had dropped and two sheds were burning.
OCFA crews began an aggressive interior attack on the fire outside and inside of the home, but had to withdraw from the inside of the structure because the roof was starting to collapse. The fire has been contained and heavy equipment is on scene assisting with the removal of debris.
The fire crews began a search for residents. Fortunately, the residents were able to escape the fire and no injuries were reported.
