While most of us were driving home tonight Santa Ana gangbangers were shooting each other up, in a car-to-car shooting that happened Friday evening, Nov. 3, at around 5:45 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.
On Thursday, Minh Quang Tran, 40, of Santa Ana was charged with murder and assault with a firearm after he allegedly shot up the Club Bleu Restaurant & Dancing venue in Westminster on Saturday, Oct. 28, leaving one person dead and another injured, according to the O.C. Register.
Hung Khac Chau, 46, a resident of Fountain Valley, was charged with accessory to murder after the fact, according to the OCDA. Continue reading
The unidentified 17-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital by an ambulance. He was treated for what was described as a nonlife-threatening wound to his leg, according to the SAPD. Continue reading
It turns out that the robbery suspect that was shot and wounded yesterday evening by an SAPD police officer, at a Chevron gas station, may be a suspect the police were already looking for in connection with at least seven armed robberies, according to the O.C. Register.
A man was found shot along the riverbed Sunday, Sept. 17, according to the O.C. Register.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017 at approximately 10:01 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the 500 block of South Shelley Street in the city of Santa Ana. Upon arrival, Officers found an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Orange County Fire Authority Paramedics responded. On Friday, July 21, 2017, at 3:38 AM, Santa Ana PD Officers responded to a family disturbance at a single-family residence at the 2400 block of Olive Street at around 3:47 a.m., according to the SAPD.
Initial reports indicated a resident at the location had been assaulted by a family member. Upon arrival, Officers encountered a Hispanic male in his early 20’s. An officer involved shooting occurred and the subject sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Continue reading
The Tustin Police Department is investigating a shooting which resulted in homicide, on Sunday, July 9. The incident occurred on Mitchell St. between Red Hill and Browning, at about 3:56 p.m., according to the Tustin Police Department.
The brief break in reported shootings in Santa Ana appears to be over as two minors were wounded at about 12:45 a.m. this morning at the 1600 block of South Evergreen St., by Madison Park, according to the O.C. Register.
The victim included two males and a female, who were apparently walking along the street when a vehicle pulled up and an armed male suspect got out of it. He began to fire multiple shots at the victims. One male and the female were injured in their lower extremities with what were described as non-life threatening wounds. On Tuesday, April 18 at about 4:30 p.m., at 600 S. Standard, in a residential neighborhood, SAPD police officers were dispatched to the area after reports of a shooting that had just occurred, according to SAPD Case # CI#: 17-10369.
Upon arrival the police officers located several shell casings at the scene. Based on witness information, a Hispanic male adult was walking northbound on the west sidewalk of 600 S. Standard as a vehicle, occupied by several subjects, approached driving southbound. A passenger from the vehicle fired several gun shots at the subject walking on the sidewalk. Continue reading
