Two men were injured, including an innocent bystander who was in critical condition, after a gang shooting Tuesday night at about 8:14 p.m.,at the 1000 block of West 2nd Street, in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.
Gang members were driving on West 2nd Street and shot the first victim, who is a known gang member but they also shot an innocent man in his 30s. Continue reading
A 13-year-old boy was shot while walking early Wednesday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m., at the intersection of South Pacific Avenue and West Wilshire Avenue, in Santa Ana, just north of Mater Dei High School, according to the SAPD, as reported by the O.C. Register.
The victim said that he heard three or four shots coming from a vehicle. The boy was hit by bullets in a forearm and thigh and he was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. His identity was not revealed by the police. Continue reading
While our city leaders keep saying that crime is going down in Santa Ana there is at least one local couple that would disagree. A married couple in their 40’s, was walking near 17th and Spurgeon, in Santa Ana’s Ward 3, when shots were fired at them at about 9:11 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.
The husband hit the ground when he was shot at but as it turned out he was not struck by any bullets. He was not at the scene when the SAPD police officers arrived. Continue reading
A 15-year-old boy was shot on Thursday at 4:34 pm along the 1000 block of North Van Ness Avenue, a half mile from the Santa Ana Police Department’s headquarters, in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting in Santa Ana on Thursday afternoon, according to the O.C. Register.
Two males were seen driving a green car in the same direction that the boy was walking. They pulled up next to him and fired two shots before driving off. The boy was shot once in the lower back. Continue reading
Two men in their late teens to early 20s were injured in a drive-by shooting in Santa Ana, near the intersection of South Main Street and East Chestnut Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Santa Ana Police Department, as reported by the O.C. Register.
The men were actually shot in the 800 block of Cypress Avenue then they were taken by friends in a white van to a fire station by the intersection the police found them at. Continue reading
