Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives continue to seek Person of Interest, Jesus “Chuy” Guzman regarding a double murder which occurred February 20, 2018 on the 11000 block of Hample Avenue, Littlerock, CA. and the discovery of human remains found at the 30900 block of 106th Street in the unincorporated area of Littlerock, CA on October 11, 2018

On Monday, November 5, 2018, at 1:10 AM, SAPD Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 2329 Ramona Drive. (Editor’s note – This happened just south of Memorial Park and Washington Elementary School). Officers located an unresponsive adult male suffering from gunshot wounds on the front lawn of a residence. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and pronounced the male deceased at 1:24 AM. Continue reading
For some reason an off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy decided to sleep in his car as it was parked in front of a friend’s home in Santa Ana, at the 900 block of S. Hickory St., early on Nov. 4. That decision did not pan out for him as he ended up getting assaulted and robbed, according to the O.C. Register.
The deputy ended up with minor injuries. According to the SAPD it looked like he had been punched. His assailant stole the deputy’s cell phone and cash. Continue reading
Garden Grove police set up surveillance on a vehicle that was stolen in a residential burglary on Oct. 25. The vehicle was left in the area of Euclid and W. First Streets, in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.
The surveillance trap worked! A suspect got into the stolen red Jeep Liberty at 11:45 a.m yesterday. and started to drive it away. Police attempted to stop the suspect but he sped off. Continue reading

OCSD Investigating Major Accident involving Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue Captain
MISSION VIEJO, Ca. (November 3, 2018) – This morning just after 8 a.m. OCSD deputies responded to the scene of a traffic collision on eastbound Alicia Parkway near Via Burgos in Mission Viejo. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, a male bicyclist in his 40s, laying in the roadway unresponsive with visible head and body trauma. The Orange County Fire Authority responded and transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
From initial witness statements, the driver of a van struck the victim while he was riding his bicycle eastbound on Alicia Parkway. The driver remained at the scene and was evaluated for DUI by an OCSD deputy trained as a drug recognition expert. He is suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the collision and multiple prescription medications were in his vehicle. Continue reading

Orange County Sheriff’s Department Awarded DUID Enhanced Testing Grant
SANTA ANA, Ca. (Nov. 2, 2018) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department – OC Crime Lab has been awarded a $316,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for training and enhanced DUID testing.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will use the funding to efficiently test all blood samples collected in DUI investigations for the presence of drugs, regardless of the blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Continue reading
Amer Alhasan, 28, of La Habra, was arrested late on Wednesday afternoon at LAX as he was waiting to board a flight he had already checked into – which was described by the Anaheim Police as an attempt to escape from this country.
Alhasan was wanted on suspicion of killing Tyanie Sopheap Ly, 38, of Santa Ana, then stuffing her body in a duffel bag that was left in a dumpster on the 2100 block of Balboa Plaza on or before Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to the O.C. Register. Continue reading
Felony hate crime and other charges were filed Tuesday against Bryce Cameron Agius, 27, a man accused of directing racially derogatory comments at four Latino men, throwing a knife at a Costa Mesa police officer and head-butting another officer when taken to jail, according to the O.C. Register.
Agius, who is white, is charged with four counts of committing a hate crime and one count each of assault with a weapon on a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to Deputy District Attorney Jake Jondle, according to CBS News. Continue reading

On 10/27/18 at approximately 7 pm a suspect was caught on surveillance video in a residential backyard. The suspect was naked, peeping into the residential windows, and masturbating. With the assistance of the media, surveillance footage of the incident was released and broadcasted through various news outlets. Continue reading
A Santa Ana homeowner is alerting other residents after her home surveillance cameras captured a naked man prowling in her backyard for about an hour, peering into windows as three other women were inside looking after the house, according to KTLA News.
The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was not home at the time – but her house guests called her during the incident. Continue reading

Jacob Michael Margo, 24, a Santa Ana resident, was convicted Monday of killing a 19-year-old man, Octavio Jesus Alcala, at an Irvine construction site because he suspected the victim stole his bike, according to the O.C. Register.
Margo is facing up to 50 years to life in prison after getting convicted of first-degree murder with a sentencing enhancement for the use of a gun in the killing. He is set to be sentenced on Feb. 1. Continue reading
