WOMAN CHARGED WITH STABBING-MURDER OF CARE HOME ROOMMATE

WESTMINSTER – A woman has been charged with the stabbing-murder of her roommate in a Garden Grove care home. Lucie Wardell, 49, is charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a knife. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison. The People will be requesting Wardell be held on $1 million bail at her arraignment today, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the West Justice Center, Westminster. The Department is to be determined.

On Feb. 21, 2014, Wardell is accused of living in the same room as victim Hoa H. at Chapman Board & Care in Garden Grove. The defendant is accused of murdering the victim by stabbing her repeatedly.

The investigation by the Garden Grove Police Department is ongoing.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Herrera of the Homicide Unit is prosecuting this case.

  1. Somewhere over the rainbow where skies are greyzola. There is a little city that claims education is first, they should have reclaimed the people are first before there new alcohole tax based income.
