Two criminals found out the hard way that stealing bikes in Irvine is not a good idea.

Over the weekend, two male suspects visited the western area of Irvine and stole four bicycles from residents.

Proactive Irvine police officers stopped the two men as they rode down the street, each maneuvering a stolen bike beside them.

The Irvine Police Dept. suggests that those who are visiting Irvine avoid doing so with active warrants, burglary tools, and drug paraphernalia, especially if they plan to steal from local residents.

The suspects are now enjoying free room and board at the Orange County Jail.
