The OC Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of May 23 to May 31. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved. Here is the list:

  • Vida Y Bienestar, 1202 S. Main St., Santa Ana, Closed: May 24, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Claim Jumper at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St., Suite 2078, Costa Mesa, Closed: May 28, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: May 29
  • The Flame Broiler, 2100 Katella Ave., Suite 100, Anaheim, Closed: May 30, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Sea Food Paradise, 8602 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, Closed: May 28, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 29
  • Yasai Japanese Grill, 16277 Laguna Canyon Road, Suite C, Irvine, Closed: May 24, Reason: Sewage overflow, Reopened: May 25
  • El Farolito Jr. of Fullerton, 310 N. Harbor Blvd., Suite 103, Fullerton, Closed: May 23, Reason: Sewage overflow, Reopened: May 24
  • Barley Forge Brewing Co., 2957 Randolph Ave., Suite B, Costa Mesa, Closed: May 23, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: May 24
  • Update: Thai & Chinese Express at 2540 Main St., Suite J, Irvine, closed May 22 because of a cockroach infestation, reopened May 24.
  • Update: Roscoe’s House of Chicken N Waffles at 2110 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, closed May 22 because of a cockroach infestation, reopened May 24.
