On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 1:40AM, Santa Ana Police officers responded to a call of a male down at the 1400 block of W. Warner Avenue. Officers located the adult male unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to his upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority responded and pronounced the subject deceased. SAPD Homicide Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.

The decedent was identified by the Orange County Coroner’s Office as Jorge Mendoza. The circumstances surrounding the male’s death are currently being investigated. Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
