On May 1, a man’s backpack containing a check and jewelry was stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the Woodbury neighborhood, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The victim was planning to have jewelry appraised later in the day, which is why he had photos.

The suspect appears to be an Asian male. He was wearing a medical face mask.

The man pictured above attempted to cash the stolen check but he was unsuccessful.

If you can help the Irvine Police to identify this man or if you know where they might find the stolen jewelry, please email jsampson@cityofirvine.org.
