On October 30, 2023, at 4:36 PM, Garden Grove police officers responded to the area of Magnolia St. and SR-22 Fwy. for a multi-vehicle traffic collision.

Arriving officers located two males trapped inside one of the cars.

Once on scene, Orange County Fire Authority paramedics pronounced the two victims (later identified as 39-year-old Jose Guadalupe Jimenez Viloria and 37-year-old Augustine Soledad Jimenez Viloria) as deceased.

The suspect driver (Britney Marie Perez, 37-year-old of Westminster) and three other victims were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Preliminary investigation found Perez had exited the eastbound 22 Fwy. at Magnolia St., after proceeding through the intersection, failed to negotiate a turn and collided with three vehicles. Alcohol and/or drugs is believed to be a factor in the crash.

This investigation is on-going. The suspect vehicle is a white 2005 Toyota Camry. Anyone who witnessed or has information on the collision, is asked to contact Investigator J. Yergler at 714-741-5772.
