This weekend, as Garden Grove Police Department motor officers were conducting reckless driving and street racing enforcement in the area of Magnolia St. and Orangethorpe Ave., they noticed a car, from a nearby car meet, with vehicle code violations.

They initiated a car stop and found both the driver and passenger had outstanding warrants.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Officers also located a High-Point 9 mm handgun in a backpack.

Both subjects were arrested and later booked into Orange County Jail for felony possession of a firearm.
