SANTA ANA, Calif. – Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector Shari Freidenrich reminds property owners that the first installment of FY 2025-26 secured property taxes must be received no later than Wednesday, December 10 to avoid late penalties. Following a recent mail fraud case involving the theft of mailed property tax checks across multiple cities in Orange County, the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector (TTC) is advising taxpayers to utilize TTCs secure online payment options. Online payment by eCheck is a fast, safe, and secure payment method used by hundreds of thousands of Orange County Taxpayers annually. “We strongly advise taxpayers to pay online using our free eCheck option at TaxBill.octreasurer.gov,” said Treasurer Shari Freidenrich. “eCheck payment is free of charge and helps taxpayers avoid the risks of check and mail fraud,” she added.
