City of Santa Ana, Downtown Orange County
SANTA ANA, CA (August 20, 2014) – The public is invited to attend the City of Santa Ana’s free Plaza Wellness celebration on September 6, 2014 in Downtown Santa Ana at French and Fourth Street from 8am – 1pm.
Plaza Wellness has something for everyone including a Health Fair, VIP Basketball game and Zumba competitions. Booths for the Health Fair are still available.
This year, Plaza Wellness will begin promptly at 8am with a free 5K race, the City’s first 5k, which will begin and end in Downtown Santa Ana. Recently named as one of Orange County’s neighborhoods that have it all by Orange Coast Magazine, this event is sure to be one of Orange County’s most scenic and unique courses that highlights some of the County’s most historic and recognizable buildings including the Old Courthouse, which has been featured in many films such as Legally Blonde and American Horror Story; Spurgeon Tower, the Second Street Promenade; and the historic Lacy and French Park neighborhoods. The race begins at 8am and race day registration begins at 6:30am. Registration is also available online. Post-race refreshments and healthy snacks will be provided to all race participants.
Free parking will be available at the parking structure located at 5th and Spurgeon.

WELLNESS PLAZA TENDRÁ UNA CARRERA DE 5K A TRAVÉS DEL AFAMADO CENTRO DE SANTA ANA
SANTA ANA, CA (18 de agosto de 2014) – El público está invitado al evento gratis Wellness Plaza que se llevara a cabo el 06 de septiembre de 2014, de 08:00 a 13:00, en el centro de la ciudad de Santa Ana, entre la calle French y la calle 4.
Wellness Plaza tiene algo para todos incluyendo una Feria De Salud, Juego VIP de Baloncesto y concursos de Zumba. Espacios en la Feria de salud aún están disponibles
Este año, Wellness Plaza comenzará puntualmente a las 08:00 con la carrera de 5K, la primera carrera de 5K en la historia de la ciudad, la cual comienza y termina en el centro de Santa Ana. Recientemente nombrada por la revista Orange Coast como uno de los vecindarios en el Condado de Orange que tiene de todo, esta carrera, de seguro, se destacara por ser un recorrido por una de las áreas más pintorescas e históricas del Condado. La ruta de la carrera pasara cerca de los edificios más históricos y reconocibles del Condado incluyendo la vieja Corte de Justicia, que ha aparecido en numerosas películas como Legally Blonde y American Horror Story; la Torre de Spurgeon, el Paseo de la Calle 2; y los barrios históricos de Lacy y French Park. La carrera comienza a las 08:00 y registración para ella a las 06:30. También puede registrase en línea por internet. Al finalizar la carrera, todos los participantes serán obsequiados con refrescos y bocadillos saludables.
Habrá estacionamiento gratis en la estructura de parqueo localizada en la calle 5 y Spurgeon.
