REP. LORETTA SANCHEZ TO HOST FREE INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE DAY THIS SATURDAY AT THE DELHI CENTER IN SANTA ANA
Event is part of a series of free income tax day assistance days to help Orange County residents claim EITC and use free tax preparation resources
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez will host a free income tax assistance day event this Saturday, February 26th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delhi Center in Santa Ana. The event is part of a series of income tax assistance days held in conjunction with the Orange County Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition at convenient locations in the 47th Congressional District. To schedule an appointment for this Saturday, please call the Congresswoman’s office at (714) 621-0102.
The free tax filing services will help Orange County residents claim their Earned Income Tax Credit. Constituents may qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) if they earned less than $48,362 in 2010, and could receive up to $5,666 in tax credits.
“The Earned Income Tax Credit is a valuable resource for working families, especially during these tough economic times,” said Sanchez. “I hope that, by providing free tax preparation services, more Orange County residents will take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit and will receive the largest refund possible. Don’t miss claiming these tax breaks to which you are entitled!”
Attached is a calendar of the 2011 community tax event dates. Appointments are necessary.

Is she gone handout TAX discount coupons for the TAX increases shy voted on?
I hope the people giving the information on Earned Income Tax Credit are qualified to do so. As you know, there is much fraud involved pertaining to this credit and the IRS is vigorously auditing people claiming EITC. Do not forget a tax return has many other beneficial credits including Additional Child Tax Credit and many other. In order to help the taxpayer correctly Tax Prepares should be properly licenced and be well versed in all facets of tax law. Free is not always good.
