Razzle Bam Boom is celebrating their 25th year anniversary of educating and motivating elementary school students in Santa Aan with music and comedy.
Mark Beckwith and Obediah Thomas joined forces in October of 1999, and now have performed thousands of shows for over 2 million students across southern California.
For the past 15 years they have been sponsored by the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC). and have been to almost every school in Santa Ana. Their most recent shows were on Sept 27th at Heritage Elementary in Santa Ana.
Their show themes cover, growth mindset, social-emotional learning, character, science, and conservation. Over the years they have written and produced 13 different school assemblies for elementaries and now have a team of 5 people working to bring joy and a message to schools.
Some schools refer to assemblies as “lectures” and call presenters “speakers”. But since they use music, humor, demonstration, and lots of audience participation, their assembly experience is much more than a lecture. Field trips are typically done off-campus, however, some schools do refer to on-site assemblies as “field trips”. In essence, students and teachers do indeed walk from their classrooms to attend their presentations in their auditorium.
Here is a list of Santa Ana schools that they have played in the last few years:
