Members of the public are invited to 3 Public Review Meetings on the Santa Ana – Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Project

SANTA ANA (June 10, 2014) – Members of the public are invited to attend three Public Review Meetings to learn about and provide comments on any possible social, economic and environmental issues related to the Santa Ana – Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Project. This transportation project, a partnership between the Cities of Santa Ana, Garden Grove and the Orange County Transportation Authority, would provide a convenient connection from the Metrolink commuter rail service at the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC) and move commuters, visitors and area residents between the transportation center and key activity and employment centers in Santa Ana and Garden Grove.

At the Public Review Meetings, residents and commuters will learn of the three proposed alternatives being considered, the environmental review that has been conducted for the project and have the opportunity to provide their comments. The Public Review Meetings will be an open house format, including a brief formal presentation. Informational exhibits and project team members will be available throughout the meeting for one-on-one discussions and informational materials will be provided in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Interpretation services in Spanish and Vietnamese will also be provided.

Consistent with the requirements of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) & the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), copies of the EA/DEIR are available for public review for a period of 45 days beginning on May 23, 2014 in Santa Ana at the City Hall Public Works Counter, the City Clerk’s Office, the Main Public Library, the SARTC, and the Salgado Center in Rosita Park; in Garden Grove at the City Hall Public Works Counter; at OCTA; and online at: http://santaanatransitvision.com.
