The Santa Ana Planning Commission public hearing has been rescheduled to Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. to consider actions that will shape the future and quality of life in Santa Ana. The meeting was rescheduled from Nov. 5 since the Planning Commission was unable to attain quorum. The Planning Commission will be taking public comments and will make a recommendation to the City Council regarding the City’s General Plan Update and Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR).

A General Plan is a local government’s long-term blueprint for the community’s vision and future sustainable growth. The Draft Santa Ana General Plan is based on Core Values (Sustainability, Health, Equity, Culture and Education), established through Santa Ana community engagement efforts. The General Plan goals, policies and actions are intended to improve existing and future conditions for all of Santa Ana, with a focus on disadvantaged or environmental justice communities.

The Draft General Plan Land Use Element has identified five key areas for potential urban and transit-oriented development opportunities to encourage pedestrian, bicycle, and transit travel to improve air quality. These areas propose a mixture of uses including new housing, community-serving commercial and employment areas accessible to all residents.

Ayude a forjar el futuro de Santa Ana: La Comisión de Planeación tendrá una audiencia pública sobre la actualización del Plan General

La audiencia pública de la Comisión de Planeación de Santa Ana se ha reprogramado para el lunes 9 de noviembre del 2020, a las 5:30 PM para considerar medidas que forjarán el futuro y la calidad de vida en Santa Ana. La audiencia pública fue reprogramada del 5 de noviembre ya que la Comisión de Planeación no pudo lograr un quórum. La Comisión de Planeación recibirá comentarios públicos y dará una recomendación al Concejo Municipal sobre la Actualización del Plan General y el Informe del Impacto Ambiental de Programas (PEIR) de la Ciudad.

Un Plan General es un plano a largo plazo del gobierno local para la visión y crecimiento sostenible futuro de la comunidad. El Borrador del Plan General de Santa Ana se basa en Valores Centrales (Sostenibilidad, Salud, Equidad, Cultura y Educación), establecidos mediante esfuerzos de participación comunitaria de Santa Ana. El elemento de Uso del suelo del Borrador del Plan General ha identificado cinco áreas clave para oportunidades potenciales de desarrollo urbano y orientado al transporte público para fomentar los viajes peatonales, ciclistas y en transporte público para mejorar la calidad del aire. Estas áreas proponen una combinación de usos que incluyen viviendas nuevas, áreas comerciales y de empleo que sirven a la comunidad y están accesibles a todos los residentes.

Buổi điều trần công khai của Ủy Ban Kế Hoạch Santa Ana đã được chuyển sang 5.30 chiều thứ Hai, ngày 9 tháng 11, 2020 nhằm xem xét các hoạt động xây dựng tương lai và chất lượng sống ở Santa Ana. Cuộc họp dự kiến vào ngày 5 tháng 11 đã được dời ngày do Ủy Ban Kế Hoạch không đạt được số người tối thiểu theo quy định. Ủy Ban Kế Hoạch sẽ ghi nhận ý kiến đóng góp của cộng đồng và đệ trình lên Hội Đồng Thành Phố về Cập Nhật Kế Hoạch Tổng Thể của Thành phố và Báo cáo Tác động Môi sinh của Chương trình (PEIR).

Kế Hoạch Tổng Thể là kế hoạch dài hạn của chính quyền địa phương nhằm đạt được đường hướng tương lai và sự tăng trưởng bền vững cho cộng đồng. Dự thảo Kế Hoạch Tổng Thể cho Santa Ana dựa trên cơ sở các Giá trị Nền tảng (Tính bền vững, Y tế, Bình Đẳng, Văn hóa và Giáo dục), được xây dựng thông qua nỗ lực hưởng ứng và đóng góp của cộng đồng thành phố Santa Ana. Vấn đề Sử Dụng Đất trong Bản Dự Thảo Kế Hoạch Tổng Thể xác định 5 điểm chính trong phát triển đô thị và định hướng giao thông nhằm khuyến khích người dân đi bộ, đi xe đạp và di chuyển bằng phương tiện công cộng để cải thiện chất lượng không khí.
