OC Public works will finish a new bikeway in Santa Ana in December. The bikeway is located next to the Santa Ana Gardens flood control channel between Monta Vista Avenue and First Street, and between Sullivan Street and Raitt Street.

The new bikeway, which can also be enjoyed by pedestrians and joggers, is just over one-half mile long. This new path connects to the first section that was completed in 2016 between McFadden Avenue and Monta Vista Avenue, near Monte Vista Elementary School and Jerome Park.

This new bikeway was also constructed in an environmentally-responsible way: Recycled materials were used for the asphalt surface, using recycled rubber tires that otherwise would have went to a landfill.
More updates about opening the new bikeway will be coming soon!
……………………………
